Project Description
These two CJ2 (525A) aircraft were factory equipped with Collins Proline 21 and dual GNS 530 (non-WAAS) units as FMS2 and FMS 3, Comm 1 & 2 and Nav 1 & 2. One was factory equipped with a GNS XLS and FMS 1 and the other with a UNS-1L and FMS 1. The GNS 530 units were removed along with the GNS XLS and UNS-1L. A GTN 750 was installed as FMS/COMM/NAV 1 and a GTN 650 was installed as FMS/COMM/NAV 2. A Shadin ADC 200 was installed to provide fuel flow information to the GTN system replacing the data lost upon removal of the GNS XLS and UNS-1L systems. The GTN systems are not LVP approach certified in these installations. These aircraft are operated by a corporate flight department in Birmingham.
